Projects
As a company, we have completed over 300 jobs, all of which have been successful and of an acceptable standard to our clients.
Project: Bolingrove Grove, London SW11
Construction & Design: PMC Foundations Ltd
Traditional underpinning of rear extention
This job required a depth of 2.7 metres to be dug from beneath the surface. The subsidence on this property was mainly caused by leaking drains which needed to be relayed after underpinning was complete. This then enabled us to reposition the manhole away from the house.
Underpinning on the party (dividing) wall was then carried out in tunnel from the rear wall to avoid relocating the kitchen.
Project: Southill Road, Bromely, Kent
Construction & Design: PMC Foundations Ltd
Underpin of a detatched house
This required a depth of 4 metres to be dug beneath the surface, due to the clay been susceptible to shrinking and also from the trees situated around the house.
Anti-heave precautions were taken in the form of using 50mm compressible material called "claymaster". This is installed into the front and back of each underpin. It is used to help prevent further movement of the foundations, even if the surrounding ground does heave or subside.
All underpinning was carried out without disruption to the occupants of the house.
